Facebook and Instagram has blocked my posts

Recently I’ve gotten my profile temporarily blocked by Facebook due to some publications. Facebook even threatened me to cancel my account if I keep publishing things like that.

What kind of publications?

I brought in the open that out of the 150 so-called “terrorists” freed by Israel, 119 were children.

I also have published pictures of Palestinians, who they are, in order to make people see them as people instead of rats.

I could keep listing “questionable” publications here, but that’s not the point.

The point is that we all are hostage of the actual terrorists, big companies like Meta, which controls Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, for instance.

I’m aware it would be naivety to ask you to leave those apps, but there are other ways to boycott those companies’ power.

Those companies’s power come from the fact they have monopoly over comunication. Therefore, in order to sabotage ’em, we need to destroy that monopoly.

You don’t need to leave them behind, I just want to invite you to use federated social networks.

It has nothing to do with “federated states.” “Federated” here means that noone can control you, ’cause lots of different organisations work together to keep the system up instead of only one.

But how?

The first one I’d like to recommend is Mastodon. It’s like a Twitter (actually Twitter is a sort of Mastodon), but it could easily replace Facebook.

How does it work?

You create a profile on any Mastodon server you like, so you can follow and interact with anyone, no matter which server their profile is hosted.

Since there are many servers, noone can control ’em all.

Lemme guide you a little bit:

You must go to Join Mastodon, browse the servers and choose the one which rules you agree. After that, it’s a really trite signup flow.

You still can download and install a Mastodon desktop app, but you can access it through the browser if you prefer. There are mobile apps too.
